The first time I had seen Taxidermy was at the Grand Rapids Museum. I was around seven or eight years old and I can still remember standing at the glass windows studying all those animals, each in their own habitat diorama.

I had a wanting, a longing to know how the Taxidermist made them look so alive, so realistic.

It would be twenty years before I actually mounted my first animal. But, believe me, when I put the finishing details on that first animal, I new that this is what I wanted to do with my life. I wanted to create art with animals. Capture a moment in time and display it in all of the grace and elegance the animal possessed in life.

Today, as President of Wildlife Design Inc. it is my desire to capture the attention of each client through the artistic expressions displayed in our mounts so when they have them in their homes, they too, will feel the way I did on my first visit to the Grand Rapids Museum.
